Hi, I ordered a laptop on 11th Feb and money was taken from my account then. On 12 Feb I was told that model was unavailable and would I accept a substitute. I agreed and was told it would  take 15 business days. Then on the 26th Feb after several enquiries I was told that eta was now 23rd March! I decided not to go ahead with the purchase and asked for a Paypal refund. As of today, the 9th March this has not taken place! So HP have had my money since 12th Feb, almost one month. Is it better for me to open a Paypal dispute in order to get my money returned?

So I ring the helpline to find out that the order has not being cancelled (despite me ringing twice to cancel it)! My  only deduction is that HP  is an absolutely shonky company who uses every trick in the book to hang on to customer's money.

Finally, after ringing 5 times, HP have acknowledged that I have cancelled my order for the laptop they never had. Now I'm waiting for my Paypal refund. I've done a Paypal refund - it took me 5 minutes, but apparently I have to wait 5-7 business days to get mine. We are a low income family,  this computer was for my wife to help her re-train, but she hasn't been able to because HP have had the money which we saved to buy her a laptop for a month now!

@Phil170258,

I am glad to know that you got the acknowledgment. However, if you wish I can still route this case to the concerned team and have it looked at considering that you had bought this laptop for your wife and it took so long to get this sorted.

Keep me posted and I hope you have a good day!
