I am having multiple issues with my with HP EliteBook 865 16 inch G10. I have a HP 3 Yr Next Business Day Onsite Warranty for Notebooks that I purchased. I purchased this laptop in November of 2023 and yet in the HP Support Assistant it says my warranty expired in 2021! How can that be? What is going on here? The date on the Windows desktop is showing the correct date of 12/20/2024. I am running Windows 11 Pro 22H2. Is there an issue in the BIOS?
Also when I try to get Windows updates it says "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service."
Also I noticed when I shut the laptop down with PLENTY of battery left (60% or more) and a few weeks later when I go to turn on the laptop it won't turn on unless I plug it in! Once I get it running I see there was PLENTY of battery left, again 60% or more which should allow the Notebook to turn on WITHOUT plugging it in! What's going on here?
Even HP websites are an issue... When I tried to get to HP Support pages it routes me to various different HP foreign websites and yet I'm in the US. This is maddening! I purchased a sub $400 HP laptop in 2019 that never had issues. Having issues with an EliteBook that wasn't cheap is ridiculous!
What is the correct support phone number for my particular laptop? I can't get it because of the non English HP websites I'm being taken to. Thank you for the help!

Hello.
1. I recommend contacting the place you bought the laptop and 3Y Carepack. The seller may have failed to activate the Carepack.
2. Windows 11 22H2 is out of support and Windows Update should offer a (free) update to the latest 24H2 version.
If your computer is not offered an update to the latest version, this is likely due to a software or firmware version which Microsoft had deemed incompatible with 24H2. I recommend updating at least the BIOS to latest version along with all other firmware and software found from HP.com support site for Elitebook 865 16inch G10. Since you are using Support Assistant, it can also be used for these updates.
If 24H2 is still not offered after this, you can just download the Win11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft support site to do it manually.
3. Check this thread to see which devices are left powered on even when computer is fully turned off: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/ProBook-455-G9-Battery-drain-20-a-day-while-shutdow...
4. The same issue affects me as well, so you're not alone. You just have to endure this until the webmasters pull their fingers out and start doing the needful.
In any case, I always recommend Googling for anything on HP.com since their search function - and the whole website - is atrocius - and has always been. And I've been frequenting it for over 25 years.
HP very much want you to create a support case in the web site because it is cheaper than having to appoint someone to actually answer the phone calls. The User Guide for your laptop model includes this phone number information:
Customers with other disabilities or age-related limitations who have questions about technical
support or accessibility of HP products:
– Call [Content Removed] Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mountain Time.
No matter what the description says, call that number. Worst case they won't help but can still provide the generic HP support number.

Thank you very much for the help! I greatly appreciate it!
I purchased the laptop directly from HP.
I ended up having to run a program called "Update Fixer" from major Geeks to fix my "end of support message." After running it and it fixing an obvious Windows Update issue I was able to get and install 24H2. What a pain! Windows 11 is ridiculous! Windows 7 was the most enjoyable in my opinion.
Unfortunately the site removed the phone number you posted 😞 Maybe type it out in words to get around it being striped from the post? Or PM me?
I thank you again!

Hi.
Check the User Guide PDF file I linked to in my message - the phone number was taken directly from that document.
I do not know why the mod removed the official HP phone number from my post, and I can't be bothered to start "playing games" just to see my messages being censored or removed. Sorry.
PS. I do not disagree with you about Win11...

Hi,
Thanks for clarifying and for sharing the source of the phone number. It’s odd that the mod removed it, especially if it’s from the official user guide. Hopefully, others can reference the document directly to avoid confusion.
And yes, I share your sentiments about Windows 11—it’s been a mixed bag for many of us!
