Probook 490 G2

Hello,

they are offering me a used HP Laptop, model called Probook 490 G2. It has:

i7-4510U processor @ 2 GHz

- 8 GB RAM

-  460 GB ROM

- WIN 10 Pro version 21H2

- Laptop Name DESKTOP-Q58K65S

- ID 4B19B62C-0DF7-44B2-A2B3-D712000FEAD2

- Product ID  00330-50000-00000-AAOEM

I cannot seem to find any relateable information on the model name, the ID or anything else.

Is that a scam or a "real" product I could trust ?

Thanks for any help or hint in the right direction,

Michael

Hi:

Yes, it seems fine to me.

Here is the link to the service manual, and as you can see that the i7-4510U processor was one of those that could have come with the model series:  It's actually the first one listed in chapter 1, page 1 of the manual.

Hi:

There is no such notebook model as a 490 G2.

HP ProDesk 490 G2 Microtower Business PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

That is a Desktop PC.

I suggest you re-check the model number.

There are Probook 430 G2, 440 G2, 450 G2, and 470 G2 notebooks.

The middle number denotes the display size--13", 14", 15.6" & 17.1."

Hello Paul,

You are right, it is a 430 G2 model "Desktop-Q58K6SS" with an I7-45100 @ 2 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM.

ID 4B19B62C-0DF7-44B2-A2B3-D712000FEAD2

460 GB ROM

WIN 10 Pro installed

Does that sound to You ?

Especially the "I7" processor ?

That's the screenshot they sent me (sorry if it's in italian, but the numbers are there)::
