Product: HP EliteBook 840 G5 Notebook PC

Window 11 error: 

We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint

 

I have tried 

Installed driver from hp website

update service settings

update in registry 

uninstall and reinstall drivers 

 

still window 11 not recognizing

Hello

FPR was on option for 840 G5

even if you see the little square where ther coould be a FPR on the right side keyboard deck , it's very hard to understand if its a FPR or just a piece of plastic.

 

check in device Manager if in the devices list you can find a Finger Print Reader, probably it doesn't exist.
