There are six white sockets sata, but three are unplugged, are they these 3 for the 3 bays HDD's???

Your friend, can't he come by himself and tell more about this computer?
If it is incomplete, it is not normal!
if the HDD disks are not connected to the sata data and power ports, which I had already mentioned, they cannot work

If were wired - there are 6 sata white slots: x1 ssd, x1 dvdrw drive, x1 memory card - hence there are 3 wired sata slots white and 3 left sata slots white unwired... then ALL SATA WHITE SLOTS ON THE MOTHERBOARD SHOULD BE OCCUPIED....?

But hence 3 free sata slots on motherboard so must be Not connected the sata hdd bays, that's correct?

1.  Read my post  HERE .  Note that HP stamps 0,1,2 in the silver metal by each drive drawer for your 3 drives.  The ends of the SATA data cables that run over to the motherboard SATA connectors have labels on them to tell you which drawer they are associated with.  0 is for your boot SSD (which should be a SATA type III drive), and the end of the SATA data cable for that goes to the bottom corner gray SATA type III motherboard connector known as SATA port 0.  I then run a second large SSD in SATA drawer 1, and it goes over to the second SATA port that is SATA III type also.  All the rest of the SATA ports are SATA type II.  I run the optical drive from the top black SATA type II port highest on the motherboard.

2.  DGroves gave you the part number for the HP drive drawer cable assembly that includes a picture of how those are hard wired to provide SATA power and SATA data connectivity from the rear of each of the 3 drive drawers to the motherboard.  Those cables run beneath the far right case cover and then through into the case where you can plug each of the 3 ends into the motherboard SATA ports.

3.  Yes, that right side cover comes off but not as easily as the left side cover with the locking mechanism built into it.

4.  It is rare that someone would rip out the cable assembly shown in the link DGroves gave you.  You may not understand what you are seeing.  If the connector is present at the rear of each drive drawer then the SATA data cables should be there too.  See picture below.... that is all one hard-wired unit that can be replaced easily if someone has removed it in the past.

5.  If you want to use a 2.5" form factor SSD or HDD in one or all of those three drive drawers you will need to get the adapter I give the HP part number for in my post linked above.  Those are about $10.00 USD each, made by Foxconn for HP, and of very high quality.  The SSD plugs into a connector built into that device, and the device then plugs into the drive bay carrier that is plastic.  That then plugs in to the drawer and locks in place.  You can see the pic when a moderator releases it.

My opinion, if you can not manage with everything that is there, it is better to return the computer to the user, and tell him to consult a specialist, before doing something stupid.

As I understand this HP Z620 is having the cabling - see the images... you have any idea why the HDD is Not seen in Windows 10, ... tried all three bays available...????  In the first photo is the bottom motherboard cabling OK...?

1. How to enter BIOS in HP Z620 - What key to press during the boot process 
2. Where on BIOS is the setting to activate HDD's slots IN THE MOTHERBOARD, so detect my HDD
