Hello @Paul_Tikkanen

In a different post I see you are offering to show how to bypass the W11 hardware checks in order to upgrade to W11.

Want to upgrade a Z400 to W11.

Thanks.

You can use

Installing Windows 11 on devices that don't meet minimum system requirements

Hi, @Santi12

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

I have a version 2 HP Z400 fully upgraded to W11 22H2, and getting all the W11 22H2 security and OS updates through Windows Update just fine. I posted in an archived thread how to install a very fast processor (X5690) into this version of the Z400. The thread on that is HERE . I also added in the HP USB3 PCIe card based on the exact same Texas Instruments chipset and drivers used on the motherboard of the ZX20 workstations to get the USB3 performance upgrade, archived HERE .

Please note that most of the earlier methods of installing W11 on officially unsupported computers don't work for the latest W11 (22H2). I've posted in this forum on my "hybrid" method that does, and Paul's Rufus method is working very well for him too. He specified using a specific Rufus version, and even attached that to one of his posts.

The version 2 Z400 is faster/better than the v1, and if yours has 6 memory slots it is a v2.

That is such a good build that it remains in our family library here at home, still running strong. I've got others here I could swap in but no need for what that one does so well...
