This action must have been conducted by credit card.
If you have not already done so:
Contact your bank / credit company and report the incident.
At the least, you likely have 24 hours and perhaps longer to report what happened.
I think any decent bank or credit card company covers this type of fraud regardless of how you were caught.

That is really unfortunate.
The rat was discovered almost immediately and his refuse removed.
These people pray on the unwary on multiple forums and communities, including this one.
They are vermin.
They are everywhere.
Further comments would violate decent behavior.
I've asked the moderators to remove the part of your post that does the scammer's work for him (by again posting what we work hard to remove).

As soon as the rat asks for money, hang up - remove yourself - block further communication.
Never let anyone you don't know into your computer.
I don't care what they are promising - it will never end well for you.

@almarlow I understand your concern and I will bring your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
Although, I'll need some private information from you in order to create a case for you.
Please look for a private message requesting additional information.
Keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers, case details, etc...).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" on my public post, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
