DesignJet 4520 Scanner
Other

I have a DesignJet 4520 Scanner that very recently stopped working on the network.  Cabling to the scanner is good and the network itself is operating normally.  I cannot pull a DHCP address or assign a static IP address to this unit.  When I try to assign a static IP, I get the following error:

56-62. An error occurred while applying network settings. Please check that the entered settings are valid for the network.

Thoughts?  Is my scanner going bad?

Looks like you hve a Rev A scanner and that software is for the Rev A and B

The SW is 24.1 the the name of the file once you have created the bootable image and make sure they match

Can you connect something else to that port and pull an address? If so, then I would think you have an issue with the NIC card on the scanner. If not, well..time to find another port.

The port and cabling from the port is fine.  A laptop connects just fine.  I fear that the NIC is shot on the scanner.  Any way to troubleshoot this thing or possibly replace the board?

Thanks

I have found replacement boards. A place that sells it for about 1300 dollars, new. 300 dollars or so rebate if you send them the old one. The only way I know to troubleshoot, is what you have already done.

Could you tell me where you found the replacement boards at?

Sent you a message. As I dont know if they allow website links on the forum.

Hi,

Have you run the system recovery?

And before buying the part what is the revision of your scanner?
