Sorry for my bad syntax, my English not so good...
I use Windows 10 Pro and i use Lan cable for plotting throught lot of PC's with my office topic network...
With Lan cable nothing happens...
I disconnected Lan cable and connected plotter with 3m USB cable (tried 2 different cables, one 5m and another 3m, worked with 3m USB cable). Turned off and then turn on for Win10 to find it....
Here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-designjet-500-printer-series/25301/model/1834668/document/c0... says: "Open the zip file and run the HP DesignJet 500/800 Firmware Upgrade Tool A.05.01"
Same... nothing happened, no firmware was send....
The first thing that usually do somebody is to "unzip" the zip file....
I think that was the wrong...
When I "double click" zip file, it oppened with Winzip and IN there I gone to exe upgrade file and runned it!!!! From INSIDE the Zip file!
It started to send firmware and on plotter front panel i saw all the procedure....
At the end on panel screen saw a picture to UNPLUG from power cable the plotter (NOT from the power button!). Then plug on again, then plotter started and at the "Plotter Information" now I see firmware A.05.01 !!!
Be carefull, for that procedure you have to have firmaware A.02 and later.... That message displayed throught the procedure when double clicked update exe file....
