HP Designjet T830

Our office Designjet T830 is stuck on the HP logo screen on startup. I have to plug it out to turn it off, and the same issue occurs when plugged back in again.

It had a few blue screens soon after purchase, but I was able to get it going by restarting it. Just after the warranty lapsed the blue screens became more common. And now I cannot get it to work.

Some of the Blue screen codes are listed below in order of date. There would generally be a different one each time.

B8000000
0112E9AA
D905231C
D9271F5C
D9045064

When I turn it on the HP logo screen flickers a few times then it is still and remains forever (until its unplugged).

The device never makes any noises or beeps

The power button is white, but if I press it, it turns orange while pressed. It does not turn the device off if held down.

I have tried power drain, unplugging everything, taking out cartridges, opening and closing all doors.

I have no ethernet cable plugged in, just a power cable and ink cartridges.

I tried a different power cable and plug socket.

I got hold of a service manual which mentioned that when you open the cutter door there should be a green light (Heartbeat LED) flashing in the bottom left. On our device there is no flashing light.

Service menu options are: SAFE LOAD, NORMAL OFF W IO ONCE, OOB RESET, FULL RESET, SEMI RESET, NO SCAN NO MECH, NO PRINT MECH, NO SCAN MODE, DRIVE REFLASH

I've tried the following in order:

OOB Reset. After selecting OOB Reset > OK, the Logo screen pops up forever as usual

Semi Reset. After selecting Semi Reset > OK, the Logo screen pops up forever as usual

Drive Reflash. After inserting a Fat32 USB with latest firmware for the device, and selecting Drive Reflash > OK, the Logo screen pops up forever as usual

Full Reset. After selecting Full Reset > OK, the Logo screen pops up forever as usual

The Service Manual has a diagram that would seem to suggest its the power button, even though it seems to click and change colour from white to orange ok:

But it also refers to another section but I cannot find anything in the manual about "0001-0001"

Would anyone know what the issue is and how it could be fixed? I don't mind opening it up to try and fix myself.

If you are not seeing the formatter light then there is a good possibility that the formatter is bad.
