ok, as the title describes, i started with problems ploting some time ago, i invetigated a and for the error 81:01 was a problem with the roller encoder sensor, i dismantled the plotter clened the sensor and i worked for some months. Now the error is back, so i decided to change the sensor for a new one, but the error 81:01 continues.

Some times the plotter says that has a paper jam, and sometimes, the paper starts to roll and dosnt stop.

Anyone can help me with this?

Your error has nothing to do with the encoder.  It has to do with to much friction on the paper advance.  Suggest you do a google search for the service manual which you can download for free.  Look up the error and it will refer you to the paper advance  test which you can perform.

the error indicates that is not read correctly progress paper. this may be for several factors.
1- encoder disk erase, rush etc.
2- paper roll heavy, block, stopped. Check axel for free roting.
3- advance motor with fail. please used service mode, test menu, advance media test.

Cleaning the sensor on the Drive Roller Encoder resolved the problem for me. I did not need to replace the part.

Thanks for sharing your fix 🙂
