Expired Unused Printhead

I have some expired printheads that are unopened,  can I use these or are these no longer viable?

Printhead don't contain ink and For all customer-replaceable printheads, except the "Other Printheads" discussed below, the coverage lasts until the “Warranty Ends”. If the printhead is unopened, you can go ahead and use them and check if that works.
