Hi @Edgardave2011,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you see an  E0 error on your HP DeskJet 4120e printer indicates a problem with the ink cartridges, typically highlighted by the blinking Ink Level icon. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed in the printer. Incorrect installation can cause E0 errors.
  • Make sure there is no protective tape or packaging material left on the cartridges.

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure the cartridges are compatible with your HP DeskJet 4120e printer model. Using incorrect cartridges can result in errors.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Ensure you are using original HP cartridges, as non-HP cartridges can lead to incompatibility errors.

Clean Cartridge Contacts:

  • Carefully remove the cartridges from the printer.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Allow them to dry before reinserting.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait about a minute, then plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Printer Update:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for the printer, which can resolve the error. Visit the HP support website to download updates.

Run Printer Health Check:

  • Use the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to run a printer health check.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
