Hello, looking for some help.
I had a belt replaced 6 months back by a certified HP repairman. A few months after, I tried doing a print-head alignment but it gets to 60% complete and fails. It states it failed due to scanning problems. I have looked online and the only thing I can find is that I might have a bad printhead causing the issue. Yesterday I replaced 2 of the 3 printheads because the quality looked bad on those colors. I ordered a new one for the one that hasn't been replaced but do not have faith it will fix the problem.
Is there something else I should look into? I didn't know if the scanning lenses could get dirty and need cleaned?
Thanks in advance!

There is sensor located on the side of the carriage assembly that reads the data to perform the alignment. This can get dirty with ink or paper dust. You can try cleaning it to see if that helps.
