HP Z3100 44"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I have placed new print heads in my HP Z3100 and the E/G (Enhancer/Gray) print head will not reseat. My printer keeps telling me to reseat to no avail and will not let me print.

I have tried 2 new heads that I've had sitting around. Both are out of date, but so are the others which have reseated without a problem.

I have cleaned the flex contacts on both the carriage and print head.

Any help much appreciated.

Last month, I had same problem with yellow/magenta printhead & replaced 2 brand new

& printer not even check & prompt right back to say replace printheads.

At no solution & I tried turn off & on... even few times, also removed formatter .. Finally one time printer made sound

& checked the printheads, then prompted me to load paper to align printheads.

Successed.

Hi,

Check for any ink cartridges rejected or below 30% and replace them

Then, reseat the printhead.

Best regards

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up replacing the print head with a new one. To no avail. All inks were full.

I then switched off and unplugged it for several minutes. To no avail once again.

Then I pulled the Y/M head out randomly and reseated it. For some strange reason this worked.

Who knows?

Hi,

Could be a bad conection between the printhead and the carriage.

You might got it to sit on the right spot

Best regards

I have reseated the printhead, replaced with new inkhead, restarted multiple times and replaced the ink cartridge to no avail.

I keep getting 'reseat' error and cannot print. Its the Yellow printhead. HELP!!
