I received a faulty cartridge warning on my magenta cartridge and after putting in 4 brand new magenta cartridges and after "setting up print system" each one has shown up as faulty.   I finally figured out my print head was bad and replaced it and the system is working fine now but I'd like to still be able to use those cartridges since I have put them in another machine and I know that they are not faulty.  I have tried an eerom reset but the cartridges still show up as faulty as soon as I put them in the printer which tells me there must be some sort of log in the printer that remembers them and that they are faulty.  How can I clear the log in the printer so that the printer does not know that they have been in that machine before?  Thank you so much!

My guess is you have 2 problems with the printer, one being the print head and the other a contact issue in the cartridge slot. Check the contact closely for ink or other contamination.

Thanks for the help.  I already got the printer working again after I discovered the clog.  I would just like to know how to reset the hard drive where it forgets which cartridges were faulty so that I can use them again. A thanks.
