If you scanner did not come with a slide adapter (appears that this is the case then you will either need to purchase a light box or build one. There have been plans around for a basic one made of folder cardboard that reflects the scanner light to illuminate the slide. Check You tube or search online. Here is one solution https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/easiest-inexpensive-scan-slides-flatbed-scanner/
