I have a T100 designjet. I am trying to print a color image on 8.5 x 11 paper, from multi-sheet tray. When I insert a sheet of plain copy paper, the print job works fine. However, when I insert a glossy 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper in the multi-sheet tray, the printer will not load and print to it, and says "paper not detected." I have tried several different paper type settings in the menu screen, all with the same result: "paper not detected"

Does the printer feed the glossy sheet and the ejects it with paper not detected or it doesn't even feed?

 

Have you tried a single sheet feed?

What is the weight of the glossy paper you are using?

The paper does not even start to feed.  The menu screen on the plotter just prompts me to load paper.   The paper is "HP Advanced Photo Paper."  66-lb.

Try using the manual sheet to load that media. Max for sheet feeder is 220 gsm and for manual feed is 280 gsm.

Thanks - I will try the manual single sheet feed.   However, 220 gsm equates to about 80 lb paper, I think.  So my 66-lb paper should be well below the 220 gsm limit.
