This applies to XP and 10 AFAIK.
I've tried to plot a bunch of Acrobat files, which were generated by various versions of AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Invariably, the plot comes out fine, but the print doesn't cut at the end. "Form Feed and Cut"on the plotter's Tools menu doesn't work either. The paper goes back and forth a few times, but the blade never engages.
"Disable Automatic cutter" is NOT checked.
So I ran some experiments.
If I run an internal service print, it cuts at the end.
If I print a PDF, either from Acrobat OR from Foxit, it plots, but no cut at the end.
If I plot a Word document, no cut.
If I plot a 2-page Word doc, it cuts after page 1, but not after that.
Form feed and cut off the control panel works ONCE after rebooting. In any of the above, I can FF&C after the plot ONE TIME, then I have to shut the T120 down and restart to get it to do it again.
Newest firmware as of today are installed.
Any ideas?

OK, if anyone else runs in to this, here's the answer. (Thanks, HP...NOT!)
If you're using a roll, instead of a single sheet, you have select Roll, instead of Use Printer Settings.
Go to Advanced (if you're using Acrosnot) click on the paper/Quality tab, select your paper size, then in Paper Source, select roll, otherwise the printer thinks its a single sheet that your printing and doesn't send the "Cut" command at the end of the print.
Considering it has a roll loaded, you would think the printer would go "Hey, there's a roll here. You know what? Just for grins we're gonna cut this at the end of the print because why not?"

The cutter not engaging looks to be an intermittent issue of engaging the cutter.
1. Try cleaning the Encoder strip.
2. Check the cutter if damaged , check the Cutter guide / rail if any obsticals found.
3. Check the Carriage holder which engages the cutter.
if the carraige or the cutter is damaged- cutter may need replacement as it does not looks to be a s/w or application related issue.
