Product: DesignJet T2500

I need to move my T2500 to another city (about 1000km).

What should I do with the plotter before giving it to the transport company?

I would remove all the inks and printheads and put them in plastic baggies. I would also remove any rolls of media loaded. I would then cross my fingers since there are lots of very sensitive items on this unit that can get out of wack. The basket and stacker  needs to be secured really good. As long as the moving company keeps it upright and just slides it on its wheels into the moving van and secures it so it does not move around you should be ok.

It should not matter but I have been told by others that you can keep the printheads and ink cartridges in the plotter since the carriage should lock on the right side when you turn off the plotter. If you leave the ink cartridges in the plotter I would tape down the cover so it does not open in transit. Also once you turn off the plotter open the top cover and make sure you can not move the carriage by hand and it is locked. Good Luck.
