Deskjet F4280 All-in One

we've got a problem with printing with your HP deskjet F4280.

A few days ago we've print a lot of papers.

Then...

Suddenly, the printer did not want to print anymore and indicated that the ink was on. So new ink is done (right kind) and still indicates that the ink is on. The ink cartridges are good, so we do not get it.
Is the printer defective and should we buy a new one or can this problem be resolved?
The printer sometimes does not do it and does it again when we remove the cables from the printer.

Who can help us and has also experienced this problemIMG-20171019-WA0001.jpg

@geisha25

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Deskjet F4280 All-in-One Printer and it displays an 'E" error code. I read that you have installed original new HP ink cartridges and the printer still does not print. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
  • Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue persists then please perform the steps based on the light blinking pattern from this HP document

Finally, if the issue persists then you may reset the printer. I have sent you a private message with the reset steps.

Thanks. I simply replaced the catrige and the printer started working again. Great advise.
