I am trying to provision a Polycom 501 SIP vers 2.1.2.0078 Bootrom 3.2.2.0019 to work with Ringcentral. It seems to find the ringcentral provisioning server but when phone gets to configuring I am getting and error message - Application Image error error is 0x100. Phone then auto reboots. I can not seem to find any information on what is happening and how to fix it . Thanks

I am not 100% sure you are posting the correct wording of the error message but I hazardously guess the FAQ contains the answer as:

The exact wording and format of the message is : A large box appears on the phone's screen with two lines of message. The first line is - Application Image Error , the second line is - Error is 0 x 100. The provisioning server is provide by RingCentral and it's url is 'http://agentconnect.ringcentral.com/provisioning/polycom/bootrom'. The sever type is http and and the DCHP server is static. The application is present and this error is generated after the 'Welcome! processing configuration...' screen.

Hello Jim,
have you raised this yet with your provider?
If not, just to troubleshoot, provision the phone from your own server hosting a compatible software for the SPIP501.
All information how to do so is located in the FAQ.

Thanks for your time and assistance. The Provider tech assisting me was not able to resolve this issue and wanted me to check with you to make sure there is not some problem with the phone (I spent over 2 hours on the phone with her). I personally suspect the file being downloaded to provision the phone is in some way incompatible with the SIP and bootrom versions on this phone, but the tech I spoke with clearly was clueless in this area. I suspect she was just going through some standard flow chart for this process. I will contact them again and try to get put in touch with someone a little more tech savvy.
