I have a VVX 450 with ucs firmware 6.4.0

 

The phone is set in generic profile mode. I was poking around the settings and found a setting called "Audio connector PC pairing" in the admin settings at the very bottom. 

 

Can someone help me understand what this is ? is this the same as BTOE when in generic mode ? I thought BTOE was only for Skype, so i am guessing this is a different setting ?

It looks like this is almost a replacement for BTOE on non skype phones. However it does not work very well with Apps like Zoom. But i think that is on their end not on Poly's end. 

 

I will start a new thread regarding my findings.

I did try searching around but didn't find anything. Then right before you replied i did find info on the audio connector. 

 

is there any plan to add that to older firmware's like 5.9 + ?

or even the ability for older phones like the 400/500 to be able to run 6.4 ?

no to my personal knowledge there are no plans to release this for older phones and the legacy VVX phones cannot run anything newer and the last software is 5.9.x
