Phone: VVX 601
UC Software: 5.5.2
So I'd like to go ahead and disable LLDP and CDP on the phones in our network. However, when I attempt to do so, either through the configuration file, the Web Configuration Utility, or manually via the phone interface - the settings remain enabled.
In the config file, I have the following:
<device.net.cdpEnabled device.net.cdpEnabled.set="0"> </device.net.cdpEnabled> <device.net.lldpEnabled device.net.lldpEnabled.set="0"> </device.net.lldpEnabled>
1) Is there some underlying setting which also needs to be disabled in order to allow disabling LLDP and CDP?
2) I was given to understand by our service provider that this would also require disabling DHCP Discovery Mode and DHCP VLAN Option ID - is this correct?
We have all of our phones going over a specific VLAN and DHCP enabled.
Thank you for any and all assistance.

I factory reset the device again to be able to Disable LLDP and CDP and have the phone respect the setting configuration change.
