Hi,

I'm trying to define a softkey which will send DTMF during a call.
The VVX 601 is configured to use DTMF via SIP INFO only.

When the user press the softkey, the VVX only sends one SIP INFO with the first digit of the DTMF's sequence (whereas there are more).

I've tested the firmwares 5.6.1, 5.9.2 and 6.0.0 with the same result.

The very same scenario is working fine when the VVX is configured to use DTMF with RFC2833.

The softkey settings are:

softkey.2.action="0000#$Tdtmf$"
softkey.2.enable="1"
softkey.2.insert="0"
softkey.2.label="Enreg."
softkey.2.precede="0"
softkey.2.use.active="1"
softkey.2.use.alerting="0"
softkey.2.use.dialtone="0"
softkey.2.use.hold="0"
softkey.2.use.idle="0"
softkey.2.use.proceeding="0"
softkey.2.use.setup="0

When the RFC2833 is enabled:

  • the DTMF settings are:
    tone.dtmf.rfc2833Control="1"
    tone.dtmf.viaRtp="1"
    voIpProt.SIP.dtmfViaSignaling.rfc2976="0"
  • the log are:

Hello @lbonis ,

welcome back to the Poly Community.

This would need to come into Support.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hi,

This update is to share the workaround provided by Polycom.

The goal is to use the dialpad events instead to enable the VVX to send DTMF via SIP INFO.

So instead of the macro:

"0000#$Tdtmf$"

when can use:

"$FDialpad0$$FDialpad0$$FDialpad0$$FDialpad0$$FDialpadPound$"

This initial issue should be fixed since the firmware 5.9.4.
