Hi,
does anybody have experiences with registering a Polycom IP phone (mine is VVX 500) at AVM Fritzbox SIP server?
I get an error message that there is no line connected. But I cannot see why.
Also is there a protocol that describes in detail why the registration failed?
Thanks a lot for any answer
Regards
Kai

Hello Kai,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Even that the Fritz!Box is not a officially supported Platform it is a simple SIP server and I use one myself and got multiple phones registered succesfuly.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Thanks a lot it was really not too difficult with your example page.
I also created an FTP server as Provisioning Server with filezilla server to provide <MAC>-directory.xml for my contact list - works also great with the perl script you recommended in another post.
But one last question: how can I access the local .cfg files that I cannot export or modify via the web interface like features.cfg and site.cfg. Is there e.g. a way that they are read and written via the Provisioning Server?
Thanks again for your great help.

Hi Kai,
check this:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Above explains how you can load these templates in the \config subdirectory.
The Idea usually would be to either use these or just use the snippets you need and create your own file with only the parameters you need to use.
Best Regards

Hi to all,
just new here...
I have the following problem:
Using a Fritzbox 7360 I managed to run quite a few VOIP telefones from GRandstream.
Now I bought a Polycom IP7000 - but I'm unable to get this running.
It's properly in the network I'd say, but at line info it says Not Registered
I put in the SIP info from the Fritzbox, but it seems something is missing.
Is there any document, that describes what to set at IP7000?
Or what could be the problem I have?
I'd be very happy to get some help
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Having a Fritz!Box myself I know it works as I had phones registered in the past.
