Poly Edge 320

I have a client that works in a secure environment they have requested that the incoming CID be hidden on certain phones to protect privacy and information. I already reached out to my provider and they cannot block caller ID to certain devices. They suggested that the ID can be blocked on the device itself. I have read the Administrators Guide and the Paramter's guide. Does anyone have a work around to either block Caller ID at the phone or break it so it doesn't display.

Thank You

Hello @therz03 Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To either block Caller ID on a Polycom phone or prevent it from displaying on the Poly Edge 320, you can use the phone's web interface to enable the "Block Caller ID" or "Anonymous Call" feature. This will prevent your number from being displayed to incoming calls and also hide your number when making outgoing calls.

Steps to Block Caller ID (or make it "Private"):

  1. Access the Phone's Web Interface: Log into the Poly Edge 320's web interface. This is typically done by accessing the phone's IP address in a web browser.
  2. Navigate to IP Phone Settings: Go to "IP Phone" and then "Phone Settings."
  3. Locate Calling Features: Find the section labeled "Calling Features."
  4. Enable Block Caller ID:
    • For All Calls: Clear the check box next to "AnonymousCallEnable" in the Default column and select the check box in the Value column.
    • For Specific Line Keys: Go to "Right Line Keys" or "Left Line Keys." Under "Key N," clear the check box for Function in the Default column and select "Block Caller ID" from the Value column.
  5. Submit and Restart: Select "Submit" to save your changes and restart the system.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance. If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution more easily by giving Kudos/Thumbs Up and marking my post as an Accepted Solution.

Hello @Meghana_10 ,

I had not replied as I do not believe this is something the Poly Edge E 320 running PVOS software can do. I believe your instructions are for the Poly Edge B running ObiHai PVOS-Lite software and are not applicable for the Edge E phones.

Best Regards

That's correct this is not on the Poly Edge E 320.
