The offset in the config file for your phone is wrong. eg:
tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="-18000"
This will set the phone to EST. I don't know what timezone you are in, but you specify the offset in seconds from UTC.

hi guys.. i am not a tech guy.. i just use the phone.. how do i change the offset? i tried doing the GMT offset but that does not change the tome for some reason/... how can i make that work? i put it to -6 and no change i tried -7 no change etc..

Hello shawnmaheed,
there is no need to create a new post discussing the same thing.
It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Who is the administrator for your phones? You need to get in contact with them to tell them that the time is wrong on your phone. If the phone is provisioned, they need to check the contents of the config file to make sure that the offset is configured.
Alternatively you need to talk to the network administrator to make sure that there are no options in DHCP for SNTP, as these will override the phone's configuration.
