I have several IP7000 IP phones in our company but one of them has recently been showing up in our IDS system attempting to connect to a Tor exit node on ntp port 123 at IP 158.69.35.227. The IP address has a DNS name of tor-exit.ubermen.net.
Our IDS is blocking the connection but, of course, it concerns me.
I have checked the configuration of the phone but find no reference to that IP address. I also updated it to the latest firmware
Short of resetting it to factory defaults or even replacing it, are there any suggestions?

Hello @BradR ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
Both the communities Must Read First and the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.
I have never heard of this and we would at minimum need to know if you are on a supported software?
I suggest to factory reset the device.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier

I followed the link for the guidelines but received the error below:
- Your request failed. Please contact your system administrator and provide the date and time you received the error and this Exception ID: 54A526AB.
We are running the current software version: 4.0.15.1009.
I will perform a factory reset and will update the post if I encounter the issue again.

Hello @BradR
could this be as simple as a typo on the SNTP either via DHCP or manually added?
Best regards
