I am trying to determine if it is feasible to offer LDAP to my Broadsoft customers. I was able to add the LDAP feature to the VVX500 config template in our lab, and everything is working. However, we do not want to be responsible for collecting and provisioning LDAP authentication information for customers. Is there a way for an end user to provision LDAP through the phone or the phones web interface?

Hello Jaikens,
the two posts show what the LDAP configuration example should look like and how you import a configuration file.
There is no way to add this information on the Web Gui and no way to add this on the Phone gui.
The only way is either a provisioning server or importing the configuration.

After reading your recommendations, I am left wondering what they have to do with my question. I know how to provision from the phone and from the web GUI of the phone. I even mentioned that in my original post. I'm asking if there is a way to allow an end user to provision their own LDAP information. I'm running 4.1.3, and I dont see the option in the web GUI or the device. Am I missing it? Is there another release that has this capability? Does Polycom not offer LDAP configuration from the device or GUI for a reason?

That's what I was afraid of, thanks for the response. Like I said, we do not want to be responsible for collecting LDAP information from customers, and creating custom configurations for each one. If I find a work aroud I will post it here, in hopes it will help someone else.
