A peculiar functionality request has been sent to me that I don't know is possible on Polycom SoundPoint IP and VVX models so I thought it best to post it here.
Basically what I'm being asked for is if a phone is taken off hook and no keys are pressed, after a period of inactivity, say 20 seconds, the phone will autodial a pre-configured extension.
I know the auto-dial functionality exists already but when this is enabled the call is dispatched immediately.
Any thoughts on adding a delay in there, or is this a hard coded limitation?
Thanks!

Hello jpattern,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
A feature like the one you describe is not possible.
The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this newly created post here:
Jan 22, 2014 Question: [FAQ] [FAQ] How can I get the phone to automatically dial a number when the handset is lifted?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Above does describe how you are still able to dial a number from the phone without the phone automatically dialing it's pre-programmed number.
