Hello,
I have a really weird issue reported to me which makes zero sense. I have a client using a Polycom VVX410 phone. The PC is plugged into the phone and the phone is plugged into the LAN. He says when he powers off his PC, his phone also powers off.
I wasn't aware this could even be possible. I haven't seen how he has it connected yet (I have asked him to tell me but he hasn't responded yet), but is it possible he might have the PC plugged into the LAN port, the LAN plugged into the PC port? It sounds stupid, I know, and I am not sure that would even work, but then what is occurring shouldn't ever happen either.
Any other ideas what the issue might be? The site is very much out of my way, so if I can avoid going there I would reallylike to, especially if it turns out to be something stupid like that.
Thanks for any insight you might have!

I have the same exact issue. VVX410. Verified that the LAN connection was plugged into the phone and the phone was plugged into the PC. If I shut down the PC the phone will go dark after about 5 minutes?
Current software version is 5.7.0.11768

Hello both,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Could one or both of you get this into Support ?
In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.
End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.
If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
