VVX 450 Polycom phone
Firmware Version 6.4.3.5156

P/N 3150-11530-643

Plantronics Audio 478 USB Stereo Headset no longer works when plugged into (rightside) USB port on Poly VVX450. Once headset button is pressed (lights up green) there is a continuous static chirp. When a called is connected the other party cannot hear headset user, nor can we hear anything through earpeice speaker.

User report that before the Firmware update she could use her headset just fine and now no longer works with the phone. Headset microphone and speaker works fine for a teams call while plugged into USB port on a PC directly. Customer previously reports that was able to use Poly phone's USB port directly without issues.

Hello @PolakMike ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Why did the customer upgrade the phone? Was there a specific reason or need for this?

I would suggest simply downgrading to the previous working version.

In addition, 6.4.3 is not the latest release as we just released UC Software 6.4.5

Checking the 6.3.1, 6.4.2, 6.4.3, and 6.4.5 release notes I cannot see anywhere that we even support a Plantronics Audio 478 USB Stereo Headset so it could have been just a fluke that a previous version supported this.

If you still want this to be looked at, and if the phone is in warranty the best and quickest way forward is to contact our Support organization as the community is run by volunteers only.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
