Edge E350

Poly Edge E series phone when answering a call has the volume default set to 3/4 up. When on an active call and volume is changed the volume level does not seem to save.

Can we set the volume levels so they will save for the next call during an active call?

I reviewed the documents as requested and they still did not upload properly. However, I tested a few scenarios and got it working.

I uploaded the following to the template and they applied to the phones successfully. Needed to remove Volume from before voice.volume.

voice.volume.persist.handset="1"
voice.volume.persist.bluetooth.Headset="1"
voice.volume.persist.handsfree="1"
voice.volume.persist.usbHeadset="1"
voice.volume.persist.headset="1"

Hello @JesseAH ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product you use.

This is important, especially in the future, when someone finds this post in days, months, or years.

Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

In the FAQ or the Read 1st section, we remind users why this is important.

From our VoIP FAQ:

My apologies for leaving out some needed information. See below.

Carrier: Zoom Phone

Software: 8.2.2.1176

I have uploaded a template to my phones with the following configuration changes but this did not affect the volume being saved between calls. Are there any additional recommendations? Is there an issue with the settings for Volume voice.volume.persist.x

ptt.pageMode.enable="1"
ptt.pageMode.group.1.label="Page All"
ptt.pageMode.group.24.label="Page All - Priority"

Hello @JesseAH ,

thanks for updating the information.

Did you check a backup of the phone configuration to verify the suggested parameter was added?

Best Regards

It does not appear to be loaded into the configuration files.

It seems like the space should be removed. Should this be Volumevoice.volume, Volume.voice.volume, or possibly voice.volume.persist? I see voice.volume.persist.headset="1" but only this.

Hello @JesseAH ,

the quoted FAQ article has an example configuration attached. Everything needs to be in the correct XML format.

Hello @JesseAH ,

the code examples for the parameters are properly XML formatted. I suggest you look at https://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_attributes.asp

The same applies to the attached persist.zip file.

If you have any additional questions check:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

If you still struggle please work with Zoom support.

Best Regards
