Hello everyone,
I am quite new and a noob here so I hope you'll excuse me for my stupid (beginner) questions. I recently got a Polycom CX500, but I am not able to reach anything inside the phone because it keeps rejecting me for some reason !
It asks for an extension number, then to enter Dial-in Conferencing PIN (and I have none of them). I've checked it says that there is another option to log in to these phone with just PIN number, but that screen never shows up. All I get is " Certificate web service cannot be found. Please contact your support team. "
And I've resetted the phone maybe 50 times, but no luck. Any help how to setup a Lync account to register this thing or completely without using Lync, will be highly appreciated.
Model: CX 500
Firmware version: 4.0.7577.4372
Thanks again.

Hello Harun,
the Microsoft LYNC server has a pre-requisite that a DHCP Option 43 and 120 and a valid NTP server must be configured in the Network in order to utilize the PIN & Extension sign in process can work.
There are plenty of sources available via search site covering this in depth.
Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.
You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.
