Hello,
I read from Admin's Guide that the PC and the phone must be on the same VLAN in order to use PDC.
I can understand the restriction when it is connected via a switch, or the indirect method.
But is it really impossible even when they are connected directly with an Ethernet cable?
Or is there any possibility to connect them in direct method while they are on the different VLAN.
Will appreciate any hint.

Hello Wonbin,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The restrictions have been outlined as already mentioned by yourselves.
You may want to test this scenario in your setup in order to confirm if it works if the PC and the Phone uses a different VLAN whilst the PC is being connected via the phone's built in switch.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier

Hi, Steffen
Of course I have tried and become sad to see how faithfuly it follows the restriction 😞
If there is no workaround or something for this now, perhaps we should try to raise a feature request by our Polycom Reseller, right?
Anyway, thanks.
