Hello,
So we has a phone system with 4 analog lines running into it, without any SIP trunks configured at all ANALOG ONLY. We have Polycom 330s that also don't have any SIP configuration settings setup just static IPs. We just got in a batch of used Polycom 331s and I went to start setting them up and ran into some issues. After ensuring that all the settings on the 331 matched the settings on the 330s the 331 was still having 1 problem with dialing. After reading online HERE I figured out that the 331's Digitmap was not configured for the right number of digits while dialing, for example if I dialed 9-1-XXX-XXX-1234 it would start dialing on the 2, if I dialed 9-XXX-XXX-1234 it would start dialing on the 3. I went in and changed the Digitmap settings under the SIP settings to allow for the extra digits and the phone works fine now. My question is why would SIP settings that are not configured; literally blank, because we don't have SIP trunks or any VOIP service, why would this effect the rest of the phone? Does the phone still use the Digitmap dispite it's connection type?
If anyone can shed some light on this I would appriciate it. If there is any information I left out that is needed I will provide it as best as I can.
Thank you!

Hello polycom_futures,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
As a conclusion it may be simply the different software version causing the different behaviour but without knowing what software you run on both phones its only guessing at this stage.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
