Hi all,

I need some help, maybe someone can answer me :)...

So we bought some soundstructure devices with VoIP Card for our conferences room.

The stations are working fine we can make internals/externals calls without any problem on VoIP, so the SIP integration with Cisco Call Manager 7.1 is working good, there are only some problems with the transmission of the hold tone that isn't provided.

The biggest problem is that we aren't able to increase the number of partecipants on a voip call, in particular isn't possible to add a third or 4th partecipant.

Saying that we know that the card supports the 3-way conf, the question is:

Is it possible to use the Call Manager Media Resources (conference bridge ecc...) to give the sistem that option?

And how is it possible? Is there any best practice?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

Hello Matteo,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Have a look at the recently updated conference FAQ post here:

Oct 25, 2011 Question: What is the maximum amount of participants in a conference call?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

I suggest to work with Cisco on how to implement this.

I've read the post warned up, but: the question is where can I initialize the voIpProt.SIP.conference.address parameter?

Have I to modify manually the cfg file placed on the VoIP interface card?

Hello aranor,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am unsure what you mean by being unable to detect the phone and in addition I am unsure if the Call Manager express is even a officially supported platform.

The deployment guide can be found => here <= and as it uses the standard known Web Interface you can orientate yourself in below post how to setup any SIP registration.

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=
