I have the Trio 8800, its up and running but when I try to enable SIP Authentication I get service unavailable. It is connected to a Mitel 3300 as a Gernic SIP Phone. When I add a password to the Mitel Device on the Access and Authentication tab in the SIP Password field the Trio 8800 displays the "Unregistered line" icon. I clear the password on both the Trio and Mitel and its works again.
I tried letters only mixed, numbers only everythign saves fine just can't get it to work with a SIP Password. Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong?

Hello KRP,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server
If LYNC or Skype please provide Version details and if these are on premise of off premise
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
In addition did you check here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?
