Hello, 

 

I am looking for some info on how Poly E300 deals with missed Registrations and DNS requests. 

DNS -

The phone seems to send a DNS request for each Registration. 

What does the phone do in the event that the DNS request is not answered. 

How many times will it request before time-out?

If it times out, does it use the addresses cached?

If so is there a limit/timeout to using the cached info?

 

SIP REGISTER - 

If the phone does not receive a reply to a REGISTER request, how many times and what intervals will it try to REGISTER? 

At what point (how many attemps) will it timeout and be unregistered?

Will it periodically try or will it wait until the REGISTRATION timer has expired?
