We are connecting workstations through our Poly phones and we are running Dot1x.  We see that when the device is disconnected from the pone the switch doesn't see that device has been removed and then caused an dot1x authentication error.  Do the phones support "Secondary Port Link Status" (this is a a CDP option) or something equivalent?

Hello @Blaine-Lee ,

welcome to the HP Poly community. I suggest you check our public VoIP FAQ:

Jun 25, 2012 Question: How can I add an 802.1x EAP-PEAPv0/MSCHAPv2 Certificate or use Dot.1x?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Links to the different FAQs are in my signature if you cannot find them via a community search.

I assume the EAPOL logoff features for a PC connected via the Phone is what you are looking for.

For any follow up questions, and if no other volunteer replies, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
