Hi
I am receiving unwanted ghost calls on my soindpoint 335
Phone Model SoundPoint IP 335
Part Number 2345-12375-001 Rev:A
MAC Address 00:04:F2:BD:XXXX
IP Address 192.168.1.XXX
UC Software Version 4.1.1.0731
BootROM Software Version 5.1.1.0132
I have read this post however I still have some questions.
My {mac}.cfg file is attached (zipped)
As you can see I've added the line for strict user validation at the end. Is this all I need to do?
Additionally can you tell me the revelance/precedence of the {mac}-web.cfg file? Do i need to add the same voIpProt lines into that file? Is there anyway to validate this strict user validation setting from within the phone itself or via the web gui?
Thanks for reading
Tony

Hello @tony_mac_prods,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
A couple of things as you are not using the correct software for openSIP if this is what you are connected to.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Jun 30, 2015 Question:What is the difference using the UC Software 4.0.0 for compatible SoundPoint or SoundStation IP Phones?
Resolution: Please always check the release Notes or
Software Version | Call Server |
4.0.X | SIP Only |
4.1.X | LYNC Only |
In addition as you never add any configuration to a <mac>.cfg file
Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
in regards to your -Web.cfg question
Mar 08, 2013 Question: What files does my phone download or upload and why?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
an no you cannot set this setting via the web interface.
