Hello,

Soundpoint IP 335,

UC Software Version 4.1.0.85402,

BootROM Software Version 5.1.0.85063

I have multiple IP 335's that need the hookswitch mode setting to 'Plantronics EHS' however when I do this the devices will constantly reboot. To stop them from rebooting I have to press cancel when the phone is booting up.

I have tried choosing the option on the device by going to 'Menu' -> 'Basic' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Headset' -> 'Hookswitch Mode' -> 'Plantronics EHS'.

I have also tried setting the option in the config file with 'up.analogHeadsetOption="2" '.

Either way will cause the device to constantly reboot.

Hello The Commodore,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Did my replies => here <= and => here <= help or assist you?

If yes then please mark these accordingly so others can profit from your experience.

In addition as outlined in your other 2 original Posts before already UC Software 4.1.x is for LYNC only.

Are you using LYNC ?

If yes then please upgrade to a currently supported version like UC Software 4.1.1 AA

If you are not using LYNC and SIP instead then please upgrade to UC Software 4.0.9 instead.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello,

I upgraded my device to UC 4.0.9.0509 and tested it to make sure it worked as normal.

After making some test calls I set the device to use Hookswitch Mode 'Plantronics EHS' and once I rebooted the device it went into the reboot loop again.

Commodore,

I have found that often a factory reset will clear up strange issues on the phones.  If you are not using a provisioning server you will want to back up your settings first.

Hello The Commodore,

I did a quick test with a SPIP331 and a Headset and set the above mode and the phone does not end up in a reboot loop.

The question that has not yet been asked is if you have a cable plugged into the Phones serial port in order to the EHS to actually work?
