Hello, everyone. My name's Brandon.
At my work, we're using Polycom Soundpoint IP 335 phones. My boss began the process - filling out the User information for the person we're assigning the phone too. What he tasked me with was figuring out the configuration problems. So far, we've come to a point where we're stuck.
At first, after we saved the configuration settings, it would get stuck on reboot mode: We called Phonebooth and the tech did their best to help. What ended up happening was, the technician advised me to take the http:// part out of the Server Address. The system then reboot, but would not get beyond waiting for network initialize. The tech asked me to press the menu button - however, I was unable to bring anything up when I did.
It got to the point where the tech said it had to be a phone problem, because he did all he could. I told my boss this, but he said he tried two different phones, and the same problems occured.
These are the settings the configuration is on:
DHCP Client: Enabled.
DHCP Menu:
Boot Server: Static.
BootSrv Opt: 160
BootSRv Type: String
VLAN Disc: Fixed
VLAN Disc Opt: 129
Option 60 Format: RFC3925 Binary
IP Gateway: 000.000.000.000
Server Menu Section:
Server Type: HTTP
Server Address: pb2.bandwidth.com/device
Server User: PlcmSplp
File Tx Tries: 3
Retry Wait: 1
Tag SN to UA: Enabled
SNTP Adress is blank.
GMT Offset: 0
DNS Server: 000.000.000.000
DNS Alt Server: 000.000.000
DNS Domain: Blank
Ethernet Menu
LLDP: Enabled
CDP Compatibility: Enabled
VLAN Id: Blank
VLAN Filtering: Disabled
Storm Filtering: Enabled
LAN Port Mode: Auto
PC Port Mode: Auto
Sys Log Menu:
Server Address: Blank
Server Type: UDP
Facility: 16
RenderLvl: 4
Prepend MAC: Disabled
Serial Port: Enabled
That's all I can see as of now. I'm walking blinded in this process. I want to get it set up. Any help, whether a solution is found, is appreciated.
Best regards and respect,
- Brandon.

Hello Brandon,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The below link effectively brings you to http://pb2.bandwidth.com/bws/provisioner/000000000000.cfg which seems to have some XML formatting issues.
There may be a specific configuration on that server but not knowing your MAC address I would not know.
Who is Phonebooth ? Are they the provider of your service ?
If yes then they should support you and if they cannot either your Polycom reseller or they should raise a ticket with Polycom support for you.
If they provided you with the SIP credentials for the individual phones you can simply follow this FAQ post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
You may want to ask your IT department if these phones are even able to access the Internet as your issue could be caused by something as simple as that.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
