When you are dialing a number, you can press the star (*) key. If you press it twice you end up with a chosen plus (+) sign instead of a star (*).
This is bad juju because I need to dial **(extension) for a direct to voicemail transfer. So what should have been a super speedy ** ext and you're done, turns into *...pause for dramatic effect...* ext.
Is there any way to disable this behavior for dialing a +?

Hello Rxn,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
Not knowing your Phone Type and / or software I can only quote the UCS 5.2.0 Admin Guide as an example.
The Parameter call.internationalDialing.enabled is always active (1) and therefore dials the +. You can disable this via setting this to 0.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
