Just bought a Trio 8800 with UC 5.4.5.9658 and am wanting to connect it to our NEC SV8100 system. So far having no luck with the configuration. I've matched the configurations of the other phones in the system as far as ports and server IP's and such but no-go.
Anyone out there successful in connecting it to a Univerge system?

Hello @Drandle,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The most common mistake is that people add the SIP credentials the wrong way.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

I was able to get it to work by downloading X-lite to my PC and configuring for the NEC. Once I was able to get that to work properly then it was just a matter of debugging SIP to see what the Polycom was or wasn't giving the SIP server that it needed.

Hi Drandle!
We've also got a NEC 8100 and a Trio 8800..... Can you share any configuration information from your setup?
Also, did you need seperate licensing for third party devices connecting to the NEC phone system?
Thanks in advance for anything you can share....

Well... I haven't been 100% successfull at getting it to work. Still trying to get outbound dialtone. I can make extension to extension internal calls but can't get on the PSTN...
I'll let you know what I can figure out.
