Hi

However I am able to ping the CUCM subscriber with my Trio. But unable to register. I get the below error from the logs I have downloaded from Trio.

Hello anantyalagi,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
The logs are pretty clear:
000353.674|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: polytest, Error Code:404 Not Found 000425.474|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: polytest, Error Code:480 Temporarily not available 000430.666|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: polytest, Error Code:404 Not Found 000555.474|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: polytest, Error Code:480 Temporarily not available 000625.682|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: polytest, Error Code:404 Not Found
Are you registering to the Subscriber or what?
Also do you have valid manual network settings as for example the device cannot reach the NTP server. The latest official Polycom document => here <= is pretty clear and should be followed step by step and it will work.
If this fails try and register another SIP phone or a PC Client to the same CUCM using the same credentials.
You could also lower the logging as described in the FAQ here:

Hi Steffen,
Thank you very much for the reply.
For your first question - Yes I am trying to register to subscriber.
NTP server is not configured in the network. I tried giving IP address of CUCM and DNS as manual NTP. But the Trio did not respond to it.
Thank you for sharing the latest official Polycom document. However I did not find any difference in the steps related to CUCM or Polycom Trio in the two different documents.
As you suggested, I will have to try with different Trio or SIP endpoint with the same CUCM. I will also use the logger this time to narrow down the cause for not getting registered.
I will try these and get back to you. Please let me know if anything more you want me to try.
Thanks & Regards,
Anant Yalagi

Hi Steffen,
As you suggested, I have done the following activities to get the Trio registered with the CUCM.
1) Configured the date and time settings manually. The system has accepted the settings.
2) I followed the step by step procedure mentioned in the document which you had shared.
3) I tried with different Trio system, but unable to get it registered with CUCM
4) I have used logger to get low level logs from Trio which is attached for your reference.
Kindly help.
Regards,
Anant Yalagi

Hello anantyalagi,
The Trio with the serial 0004F2FD7210 shows up as a Polycom item that was shipped back in 23/02/2016.
Not really sure where you got this from or if this is a test unit but again I see the 480 error.
Unless Cisco can help you troubleshoot this 3rd party problem you need to open a ticket with your Polycom reseller.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I know this is a little late, but since the device is still a current device in use, and I struggled to find any solid resources for this, I've written up a guide on my blog that is a very straight forward guide for connecting the trio 8800 with visual+ to CUCM. This has been fully tested multiple times and works perfectly.
