Hi,
I have a vvx 500 and an Adesso Mini keyboard (adesso ack-5010ub).
When I connect it to the USB port nothing happens. I can't type in the directory, dial numbers from this keyboard. I checked if it recognize it, and I can get NumLock light on, Capslock light on. I wonder if there is any certain setting to get the keyboard to work! The phone runing UC software version: 5.0.0.6874
Thank you

Hello Sam11,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
I do not believe any of our data sheets or other documents advertise the VVX to be compatible with a Keyboard.
If you would like to use a keyboard like functionality I advise you to look into the Polycom Desktop connector.

Hi Sam,
I found the document you are talking about:
http://www.integratelecom.com/resources/Assets/Integra-Polycom-VVX-500-Business-Media-Phone.pdf
It shows that you can connect a USB keyboard to the phone on page 75 (page 87 of the PDF).
Using a USB Keyboard with Your Phone
If you attach a USB keyboard to your phone, you can use the keyboard to enter information and navigate screens on your phone. For example, you can enter phone numbers, directory information, and select screen items without using the phone’s keypad or tapping the screen.
You attach a USB keyboard to the USB port on the top of your phone. After you attach the USB keyboard, you can immediately use it with your phone. You use the USB keyboard the same way you would use your computer’s keyboard with your phone (see How to Use Your Computer’s Mouse and Keyboard with Your Phone ).
Note: Supported USB Keyboards
Your phone supports the following USB keyboards:
Logitech® Compact Keyboard K300
Adesso Mini keyboard
Finding the Polycom documentation though, this section has been removed:
from page 88/100, so it appears this functionality was cancelled.

Hello all,
The first document is hosted by a reseller and may be an early draft for a roadmap that was not included.
The second post is the official Polycom documentation outlining what the released version is supporting.
I will highlight this post to the relevant Polycom Product Manager.
