Hi Polycom Techs,
I have never before attempted to upgrade a polycom unit and could use some assistance. I have a Polycom Soundstation IP 6000 and when I go to: Menu>Status>Platform>Phone I get this readout:
Model: IP Soundstation IP 6000
Assembly: 3111-15600-001 Rev:T
S/N: 0004F2F18B2A
IP: 10.0.250.251
BootBlock: 3.02_15600-001.0024
BootROM: 4.3.1.0887
Device Certificate: Installed
First, can I assume by reading that, that I have 3.02 firmware installed?
Second, I see on the website that their are "Split" and "Combined" versions of firmware, could someone please explain this. Not sure what I would need.
Third, is it safe to go from 3.02 (If thats what I have) to 4.0.9 safely? Or do I need to step up version by version?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
