Hi,
I've followed the steps on the self-service page attempting to revert from OBi to UCS; however, after applying the firmware URL plus the added string: http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_9_4_release_sig_split/3111-48820-001.sip.l...,bgu-conv=disable , the VVX250 will not flash back to the UCS firmware from OBi. Have there been any changes to the steps since 2020? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
OBi Version: 6.4.3.10037
Model: VVX250

Hello @Mr_Troubleshooter ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
As this was not ever really supported most likely the 5.9.4 release has been removed and therefore the URL is no longer correct.
The general advice is to purchase the correct Hardware aka either ObiEdition or UC Software
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards

Hey Steffen,
Thanks, I did manage to find the page which hosts the current version of UC software, but it is a .zip file. Do you guys have a server URL where I can download the UC software ver. 6.4.1.2280 straight to the phone? Again, this for the VVX 250. The company I work for has approximately 300 of these UC Polycom phones which were flashed with an experimental OBi software via the guide on Polycom’s website. Trying to see we can get these flashed back to UC.

From the linked Article:
This guide is intended for Google Voice customers with G Suite accounts only. Converting a VVX X50 model phone to OBi Edition Software is not supported outside of G Suite environments.
Hello @Mr_Troubleshooter ,
as shown above, this is meant only for Google Voice and their service so Google would be providing any additional updates to the ObiEdition software.
How your organisation managed to flash this on 300 phones is questionable. Also, the "experimental" statement as nothing is experimental with the firmware.
I can only remind users that Poly does not officially support this but in order to get you going please use:
VVX 150
http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_6_4_1_release_sig_split/3111-48810-001.sip.ld
VVX 250
http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_6_4_1_release_sig_split/3111-48820-001.sip.ld
VVX 350
http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_6_4_1_release_sig_split/3111-48830-001.sip.ld
VVX 450
http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_6_4_1_release_sig_split/3111-48840-001.sip.ld
The above can change at any point!
From our FAQ:
Sep 03, 2019 Question: Can I convert a Poly VVX into ObiEdition or UC Software?
Resolution: The process is not officially supported by Poly.
- If you want a VVX in Obi Edition please purchase the ObiEdition
- If you want a VVX in UC Software please purchase a VVX in UC Edition
I will go ahead and close this topic as this is not a supported scenario
Best Regards
